Trident Maple bonsai repotting
Highlight of a 6 hour repotting session in London yesterday was this formal-broom Trident Maple bonsai Having not been repotted for over 6 years it was very rootbound as Tridents have very vigorous rootgrowth. However, I was able to carefully drop the soil level an 1” to reveal a bigger and better nebari. . . #bonsai #tree #trident #maple #repot

Prunus domestica subsp. insititia bonsai
Photographed last week, my Prunus domestica subsp. insititia or Damson bonsai, now in flower. Closely related to Blackthorn, Damson are quite a common variant in the Uk and this one has developed very quickly from a bare stump in just 5 years. I’m looking forward to it finally fruiting as the Damson fruit will complement the wonderful pot by Thor Holvila. . . #bonsai #tree #prunus #damson #blackthorn
